About Denise's Doggy Den
In my West Shore home I provide a loving and pet-safe atmosphere with a fully fenced yard backing onto quiet Metchosin acreage. We go on daily leashed trail walks based on your dog's physical abilities. Your pet is free to explore my small backyard - always supervised by me. Or hang out on the upper deck (weather permitting) or in the house for a nap on the sofa or bed of choice. After all, it's their vacation too!
I only allow a few dogs and this small group ensures a calm, safe environment and friendly companionship for Lucy, my senior cockapoo, and George, my chihuahua/corgi x.
☑️ Dogs are never crated unless you request it. You must provide your own crate.
☑️ You may bring any favourite (washable) bedding and safe toys. No bones or rawhide.
☑️ Water bowls and numerous dog beds are provided throughout the house.
Please NO puppies, (dogs under 2 years old) unneutered males, or females who may go into heat. I love puppies but many of my guests do not care for puppy energy.
Not suitable for dogs who cannot manage stairs to upper floor main living and sleeping areas.
No high energy or high anxiety dogs.
Smaller and socialized dogs only.
The majority of my guests are under 20 pounds and consist of Yorkshire Terriers, Shih Tzus, Miniature Schnauzers, Beagles, etc.
It is not unusual for a dog to attempt to mark their territory upon arrival in a new place where other dogs are/have been. However, if your dog continues to urinate indoors they may be fitted with a disposable male wrap or female disposable diaper.
If your dog uses pee pads at home please provide them for their stay.
All of my clients are repeat customers and love my Doggy Den almost as much as their dogs do, and I adore their dogs! :)

Services & Pricing
Private Leashed Walks
For West Shore Clients
I offer a minimum 30 minute private, leashed walk in your neighbourhood. No additional charge for two dogs. If the weather is too warm to walk I will provide a back yard visit or drive to a cool, shaded location if no yard is available. Same walking rate applies but walks may be shortened.
Rate
$30 per leashed walk. I always wipe dirty paws and bellies and freshen water and give treats as allowed by you. I also check for ticks and speargrass and recommend that you do as well when you return home.
GST is not included in prices.
Small Dog Boarding
One dog - 24 hrs - $60
Two dogs - 24 hours - $95
Dogs must be from the same home or individual rate applies.
Rate
A $30 day rate ($45 for two dogs) applies to boarding dogs on day of pick up if your pup was dropped off in the morning and will be picked up in the afternoon/evening.
GST is not included in prices.
Appointment Required
Drop off and pick up between 8AM and 6PM daily.
Cat Care (Visits To Your Home)
For West Shore Clients
I will come to your home to care for your favourite feline(s). Each visit includes feeding, administering medications if needed, giving fresh water, cuddling, playing and litter box scooping. To make your home appear occupied I will adjust lights and window coverings, bring in any mail, take out/bring in garbage/recycling and water house plants, if needed.
Outdoor gardens watered for up to 10 minutes for no additional charge.
Rate
$30 - one daily visit $45 - two daily visits
GST is not included in prices.
